Announcements on 4/7/08

Announcements
1. There is a staff meeting on April 7th from 3:00pm to 3:45pm. Snacks and beverages will be provided. We will be filling out the staff surveys and learning about the new referral procedures for the child study team.
2. The marking period ends on April 11th. The grades will be due on April 16th.
3. There is a half day for students on April 16th. The remainder of the day will be spent on putting together the CEP and September planning.
4. AIS should be addressing the lowest third.
5. There will be an SIT meeting this Tuesday.
6. The school-wide disciplinary meeting will be held on Thursday after school in room 433.
7. Please note the new schedule put in place last Thursday. We are in the process of developing a new SAVE room schedule.
8. Construction on the playground will begin very soon. A final date will be announced in the near future. Please review the e-mail sent out last week if you have any questions.
9. Justin Paige, the President of Pencil, will be visiting on Friday
10. There are about 70 8th graders who will be going to the Planetarium/The Museum of Natural History on Tuesday
11. Any students going on a class trip must be in dress code or they should not be permitted to go. This does not pertain to students with specific situations which have been communicated.
12. Thanks again to all staff and parents who helped in preparing and participating in the council woman Mark-Viverito’s visit. It was a great success.
13. There will be an Earth Day Professional Development in the conference room from 1:00 to 2:00 on Wednesday. If you are interested in attending, please see me to arrange for coverage.
14. We will be having the students fill out the city survey on Wednesday and Thursday during our independent reading period.
