PRAISES OF THE WEEK 10/20/08

Dr. Phelps and Ms. Word for being instrumental in making the PTA election take place
The counseling team, especially Ms. Emmanuel, for setting up and running the High School Application Seminar
Ms. McKinley and Mr. Seeram for setting up the testing schedule and making sure every child’s mandated testing conditions are met
John Gonzalez for helping out in the hallway by making sure two students did not continue to choose the wrong way to resolve their issues.
Ms. Perez for helping out Ms. Stephens during a fire drill. The student was being rude. Ms. Perez spoke to the student quietly to prevent the situation from escalating.
Ms. Vega for her outstanding assistance with setting up testing.
Ms. Blanding and Ms. McKinley for getting the progress reports out by Friday.
Mrs. Baitz-Unger for her incredible effort in assisting with maintaining the 3rd floor on Friday.
Ms. Levene for bringing Urban Word into the school and setting up the trip next week for the Bodies Exhibit
Mr. Deatherage for setting up the trip to the Film Festival for some of the 8th grade students.
Will and Jacob for holding down the cafeteria on Wednesday and Friday. Outstanding job!
Ms. Lee, Mrs. Baitz-Unger, and Ms. Emmanuel for helping out with testing this week.
Ms. Emmanuel, Ms. Lee, Ms. Terri, and Ms. Baitz-Unger for helping out with the High School Application Process.
The Attendance Committee for a perfect week of over 90%. Great Job.
Al Narvaez, our school aide, for his perfect attendance this year and always getting to work earlier than he needs to be.
