PRAISES OF THE WEEK 10/6/08

Ms. Stephens for assisting in supervising the students outside the cafeteria on Monday
The attendance committee, especially Ms. Mildred, Ms. Josie, and Ms. Alicia, for maintaining over 90% attendance for a partial vacation week
Mrs. Unger-Baitz for doing an outstanding job sharing knowledge about our school to several of the elementary schools from district 4
Ms. McKinley, Mr. Seeram, Mr. Young, and Ms. Scott for doing a great job supervising the school while I was out
Dr. Phelps for being such a huge component in making the deadline of the Middle School Campaign Application which could lead to a $250000 grant
Mrs. Iorizzo for organizing our target population for our Inquiry Team studies
Jacob Scott for his incredible dedication this week, he was everywhere we needed him
Mr. Unger for stepping up for the swimming club and getting his AIS work up and running, he still hosts the most students with his AIS work than any other ELA and Math teacher
The ELA and 6th grade teachers for their hard work in getting their reading logs so quickly
Ms. Kathy for her support in collecting assessments of students from our Inquiry Team
Mr. Foley for his passion with the mentoring program and wonderful input with the Discipline Committee
Mr. Mezan for wearing so many helpful hats in taking the school to the next level, he is facilitating the Discipline Committee, coaching the Flag Football Team, and is heading up the Justin Tuck Literacy Initiative
Ms. Levene for facilitating the Recycling Initiative and bringing Urban Word into our school
Ms. Selina for allowing me be in two places at one time, your dedication and support allows for us to concentrate on improving instruction
